What comes in the Chef's Choice Variety Box?

Each box contains 2 lbs of fresh gourmet mushrooms harvested same week as delivery. We aim to include an assortment of 3-5 rotating exotic & culinary varieties such as Lion’s Mane, Black Pearl, Italian Oyster, King Blue Oyster, Chestnut, and more.

Can I choose the varieties?

The variety box is handpicked and harvested fresh from the best we have to offer, so you don't get to choose your exact assortment.

We strongly encourage you to try (and give second chances) to new varieties as many people think they don't like certain ones, but in reality they just didn't eat them fresh enough and/or the preparation wasn't to their liking.

That said, we understand you may have favorites, so feel free to reach out to us at hello@paperbagmushroom.com with your Order # and your specific request(s) and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Where do you deliver?

We’re currently available in Las Vegas and surrounding areas.

*As of June 2026, we're testing shipments to other areas that we can reach within 2 day ground (including CA and AZ), so stay tuned!

What's the best way to store the mushrooms?

We suggest to store inside the fridge in the individually portioned paper bags that your mushrooms arrived in. Do not put them in plastic and avoid the crisper drawer if you can.

How long do the mushrooms stay fresh?

We suggest to eat your mushrooms within 1 week of receiving them, but you can definitely eat them after (the texture and flavor will vary). Some people like to freeze dry and/or dehydrate their mushrooms for future use. Pro tip: cut the stems and use them for soups/stocks.

What if I want more than 1 box every 2 weeks?

First off, we’re flattered. Given our limited harvest supply, we’re currently able to offer 2 boxes per household every 2 weeks as an order cap. Simply add a 2nd box to your cart and complete checkout. Heads up: the boxes will be delivered as 2 separate boxes, but should arrive at the same time.
